  • I am gonna have to agree with America Today-Anthony on this one.... The poblem with organized religion is every religion tends to think "their" way is the best and only way. If this weren't the case, there wouldn't have existed so many religious-based conflicts throughout our history.

  • DWF pretty much summed up my sentiments. The core issue here is lack of tact. Ground Zero is a very touchy subject for people in this country, especially en NYC.

  • I love the blind loyalty to parties. Bottom line neither party gives a sh*t about you as a person. Special interests, agendas, future votes, power, greed, etc...It all corrupts. Americans have just become lazy. As long as I am living comfortably it isn't a concern of mine.

  • Jensen I agree completely about the broader issue of state's rights here, while immigration may be the hot topic of the moment. Similar to the Civil War and recession, the issue was not so much slavery as it was the underlying states rights.

  • As a legal permanent resident in Costa Rica I am required to carry my ID card everywhere. I have to present it any time I am asked to do so. whether or not I am in the act of violating a law. When I apply for a job they immediately ask if I am legal to work here and I am required to show my ID card.

  • "looking for a better life"...that right there is the scapegoat excuse. That is somehow supposed to justify their breaking the law to enter the country. No doubt it sucks the conditions many live under in their respective countries. Lived in El Salvador for a while, life is not easy.

  • ES.. terrorists come in many forms, not just from the middle east and in the name of Allah. A terrorist in one who instills fear in or frightens others, no act of violence is necessarily involved, but it is the potential for violence they use to cause people to live in a state of fear.
